ECHIC Conference, April 21-22, 2022

After a two-year hiatus, we are thrilled to announce that the ECHIC conference “The Many Faces of the Humanities” will take place in Lund (Sweden), on April 21-22, 2022. The conference has a hybrid format, combining in-person and virtual presentations. We appreciate that the pandemic is still generating uncertainty, but we also believe it is important to offer our members the opportunity to gather once again in presence. Registration will be postponed until nearer the time, to give attendees and presenters a chance to monitor the overall situation (including travel restrictions) before deciding which option to take. We hope that by April things will have improved.

Summer School on Posthuman Scholarship

We are glad to announce that the 2022 edition of the summer school on posthuman scholarship, organised by Rosi Braidotti, will be themed “The Posthuman Life and Methods”, and will be held from the 18th to the 25th of August 2022. The course is offered online and is sub-divided into five small tutorial groups. The groups are organised by different regional time-zones: one for Australia and the Pacific; one for North America and three for Europe. Applicants are free to select which time zone they prefer to attend and pick the time that suits their schedule best. The programme and the lectures – both live and pre-recorded – are the same for every region. Professor Braidotti will chair all sessions, including the Q&A. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
