ECHIC seeks nominations for Board members

The European Consortium for Humanities Institutes and Centres seeks nominations for members to serve on its Governing Board. Board members nominated in 2022 will serve a three-year term, renewable once. We are seeking candidates, including early career researchers, with a demonstrable commitment to the humanities, who are interested in shaping the future of the organisation. Being part of the ECHIC Governing Board will be an opportunity for sharing your ideas and knowledge, promoting the importance of the humanities and collaborating with colleagues across Europe to address the challenges the humanities are facing. The Consortium welcomes expressions of interest from candidates who are:

  • knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the humanities and their relevance to contemporary life;
  • willing to promote ECHIC’s work through attendance at events and business meetings (2 or 3 a year, mostly online);
  • interested in further developing collaborations between ECHIC and other international organizations (EASSH, CIPSH, CHCI);
  • willing to contribute to science policy debates in Europe.

If you are interested in becoming an ECHIC Board member please contact the President (silvana.colella@unimc.it), including your CV and a brief cover letter detailing why you are a suitable candidate. The deadline for submissions is April 14th, 2022.
